Katharine McPhee "Beautiful" Video Premiere + More

Katharine McPhee has covered Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" as a part of her new show Smash, which premieres the Monday after the Super Bowl. Understandably watered-down, yet much more substance than Glee! See NBC's latest sneak peek at the show below:

Katharine McPhee "You May Not Kiss The Bride" Posters

A pair of posters for Katharine McPhee's unfortunately titled upcoming movie "You May Not Kiss The Bride" have emerged. Not that I'm holding my breath, but is this ever going to come out?

Katharine McPhee "Shark Night 3D" Trailer

Katharine McPhee pops up in the trailer for her future Oscar-winning new movie "Shark Night 3D", which comes out on September 2nd. Psshhh, I am sooo not seeing this! And, um, if you know where I live & you happen to walk into a showing of this to find someone wearing a dark coat & hat... sooo not me!

Katharine McPhee "You May Not Kiss The Bride" Trailer

At long last, our first look at Katharine McPhee's romantic comedy(?) "You May Not Kiss The Bride" has arrived. Looks weird... like it's more interested in being an action movie with a non-sensical plot. It doesn't really matter though because there's still no release date for it, at least in the U.S.

Katharine McPhee "Smash" Trailer

NBC has given Smash, a new musical drama starring Katharine McPhee & Debra Messing, a midseason pick-up. Check out a trailer for Smash above, which suggests that Kat will receive a TON of screen time--both acting & singing--when the show begins airing on Mondays at 10/9c this coming winter. Other than the fact that this toootally seems like a movie plot, so I have no idea how they're going to stretch it out into a TV series, this looks good--& GREAT for Katharine! Though I must say... She finished runner-up on American Idol. She was signed to & released an album on the major label RCA. She was in the movie "The House Bunny" & even guest-starred on the TV show Community... & they're 'introducing' her? To the kind of audience that would watch a music-centric TV show?! -_-

Katharine McPhee Performs "Lifetime" On Global Action Awards + More

In conjunction with her recent work for St. Jude, Katharine McPhee performed her song "Lifetime" off Unbroken at the Global Action Awards. Being that it's one of my favorite cuts off her sophomore album, though simple, I enjoyed the performance. As it's related, check out the video Katharine shot for "Lifetime" while visiting St. Jude below:

Katharine McPhee Joins "Smash" Pilot

Katharine McPhee has landed a role opposite Debra Messing (Will & Grace) in a new musical pilot for NBC entitled Smash. Executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, the show is about a group of people who come together to put on a Broadway musical inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Sounds like a version of Glee with substance that I could get on board! Let's just hope this pilot works out better than Kat's last one (The Pink House).

Katharine McPhee Performs "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" On The Early Show

Yesterday, Katharine McPhee's performance of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" off Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You aired on The Early Show. It's a little late now, but she sounded lovely, so extend your holiday a little with Kat!

Katharine McPhee Performs On Regis & Kelly

It's Not Christmas Without You

Jingle Bells

Katharine McPhee stopped by Live With Regis & Kelly to spread some holiday cheer with a performance of her purdy "It's Not Christmas Without You" as well as a little sing-a-long to "Jingle Bells", both off Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You. Well, Kat sounded good!

Katharine McPhee Performs "Jingle Bells" On Leno

Katharine McPhee performed "Jingle Bells" off her new album Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Why in the world she wasted a Tonight Show gig on this song I don't know, but it was fun.

Katharine McPhee "It's Not Christmas Without You" Video Premiere

"It's Not Christmas Without You" is the first single off Katharine McPhee's Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You album. The video, which co-stars Joel David Moore ("Avatar"), is cheesy, but the song is gorgeous! Like the extensions too, Kat. ;)

Katharine McPhee Performs On Holiday Lights

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Jingle Bells

Katharine McPhee visited Boston to help them celebrate their tree lighting by performing a pair of Christmas tunes on Holiday Lights. (Fellow former Idol contestant Melinda Doolittle performed on this last year.) It looked chilly! She sounded nice on "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"... but "Jingle Bells", really? (lol) Kat's Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You album is out now.

Katharine McPhee Performs "It's Not Christmas Without You" On Red Eye

Always one to find the most random FOX shows to perform on, Katharine McPhee sang her original song "It's Not Christmas Without You" off her holiday album Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You on Red Eye. I have to admit that I haven't listened to her Christmas album yet, despite having bought it online the week it came out (that's what happens when you release the same year as Mariah... just sayin'!), & I'm feeling rather guilty about it now because that song & her performance of it were both quite lovely! I'm also surprised how entertaining she was in the interview that followed. I'm starting to buy that she could actually be funny on a sitcom...

New Katharine McPhee Promo Pics

Check out these new promotional photos from Katharine McPhee's promo shoot for her new holiday album Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You. Love ya either way, Kat, but I sure am glad the brunette is back!

New Music Tuesday: Katharine McPhee "Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You"

Katharine McPhee is getting a head start on the holiday shopping season with today's release of her new album Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You. I haven't heard anything on the album yet, but Katharine McPhee & Christmas music sounds like a match made in heaven! If you're interested in this, I'd recommend buying it via the link HERE or the widget on your right because I went to four (yes, 4!) stores today & NONE of them had it... I guess it's too early. :(

Katharine McPhee "Say Goodbye (Alternate Version)" Video Premiere

Luckily, a video has premiered for "Say Goodbye", Katharine McPhee's third single off her second album Unbroken, without all those obnoxious interruptions. Turns out the footage we missed the first time around was really important! This is much better.

Katharine McPhee "Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You" Cover & Tracklisting + Preview

Beautiful brunette Katharine McPhee is all set to release her holiday album Christmas Is The Time To Say I Love You on October 12th. Check out which familiar tunes she'll be covering (there's new material too!) below:

1. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
2. Jingle Bells
3. It's Not Christmas Without You
4. O Holy Night
5. Silver Bells
6. Christmas Is The Time
7. Medley: O Little Town Of Bethlehem/Away In A Manger
8. What Are You Doing New Year's Eve
9. White Christmas
10. Who Would Imagine A King

Click HERE to listen to a snippet of each track. In all honesty, I think I'm gonna enjoy this more than Unbroken. With that said, I'm not sure why she felt the need to liven things up with stuff like "Jingle Bells" & "Silver Bells"... but she'll sound good, I'm sure.

Katharine McPhee "Say Goodbye" Video Premiere

"Say Goodbye" is the third single lifted from Katharine McPhee's sophomore album Unbroken & will be prominently featured in the upcoming film "I Am". Kinda lame video, as would be expected from a song-off-a-soundtrack video, but I'm perfectly willing to overlook that if Kat will just release an entire album of songs like this! I don't care if it's a little (too?) AC/Celine Dion-ish--it's what she's best at!
