Syesha Mercado, Karina Pasian Release Christmas Singles

Syesha Mercado has released an original song called "Christmas Melody" for the holiday season. The iTunes exclusive is the American Idol alum's first post-Idol release, so if you need that voice back in your life like I do, then head right HERE!



Now going by her full name, Karina Pasian has put out a cover of "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting...)", her first post-Def Jam release. This will be followed by the release of her EP Trips To Venus on December 13th! Until then though, get into the holiday spirit with Karina HERE.

Karina & Harel Skaat "Words" Video Premiere

Karina has recorded a duet with Harel Skaat of his Israeli hit "Words" (AKA "Milim"). Although this came completely out of nowhere, she sounded great! Hey Karina, it'd be cool if you wanna release that sophomore album of yours anytime soon.

Karina "Perfectly Different (Unplugged)" Video Premiere

Karina has shot a video for an unplugged version of her new song "Perfectly Different", which will likely be included on her forthcoming sophomore album. The style of direction is a little cheesy, but those vocals cannot be denied! Not to discourage anyone from buying her new album when it comes out, but if you like "Perfectly Different", look up some of her leaks--it just gets better from here!

That's right! I've got another one for ya & if you guys have yet to get into Karina, it's about time!! Here, we see her recording a new song for her upcoming sophomore album called "Love Is Blind?" with producer Warren "Oak" Felder. Oh, Karina. "You stole my heart... like a thief in the night..."

Karina is at it again, recording another future smash entitled "Choose Me" in this new studio footage. This sound is so much more sophisticated for her (those layered vocals!) & I'm really starting to have trouble waiting for that second album, which is tentatively due in the second quarter.

Karina & Sammie Remake "Brokenhearted"

Karina has decided to join forces with Sammie to cover Brandy's hit song "Brokenhearted" with Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men from her self-titled debut album. Alright, loyal readers: This one's for you. You KNOW I love me some Brandy, but for the longest time I didn't own her debut, & when I finally bought & listened to it, I actually didn't looove it. I bring this up because I had to YouTube the original to remember how it goes--& lemme tell you, I'll be pulling that CD back out with the quickness because the original is amazing! Now, obviously Karina has some mad pipes, so you know she's blowing on this song, which is good... I just hope she doesn't over-do it because she is capable of doing some Brandy-like vocals & that's what this song requires to REALLY shine. As for Sammie, I was totally a fan of him the first time around (if you know what I mean)! Although I haven't been into him since, hearing his voice again reminds me of why I was a fan in the first place. Anyway, to sum up, I think this has the potential to be really good!

Karina performed "Winner," my favorite song off her debut album First Love, on yet another RAWsession recently. This talented young'n needs to get me a tentative release date for her second album STAT!

Karina Covers "Pretty Wings" On RAWsession

Karina covered Maxwell's "Pretty Wings" in what is likely to become another series of RAWsession performances from the talented singer. She did very well on the song. Based on what we've heard so far, Karina's sophomore album is one of my most anticipated releases of this year.

Karina spent a little more time playing than getting her grind on while recording "Take A Day" recently. Don't let the first part scare you; the second part features some serious recording footage, followed by much of the final product in the third part. I *think* the song turned out well, but we may just have to wait for the album to find out for sure.

The much-appreciated footage of Karina in the studio making her sophomore album keeps on rolling with this latest clip, which features the song "True To Myself" that Karina co-wrote. This is one of best songs we've heard so far! Karina's project is one of my most anticipated of 2010 & if the rest of it sounds anything like this, then it should be one of the year's best as well.

Check out this brand new clip of Karina in the studio listening to her just-recorded song "When You're In Love." The ballad was produced by Gordon Chambers & Barry Eastmond, the duo behind Karina's own "Slow Motion." I think the song is absolutely gorgeous & just might be better than their previous collaboration. I'm really, really anticipating Karina's next album.

UPDATE: Here's some actual footage of Karina recording "When You're In Love." Wow! I also replaced the above video (the original one was deleted) with a shorter one that still plays the song. I have to say that the glare she gives the camera (above) is adorable.

Karina has released this cover of Beyonce's "Ave Maria." She sounds gorgeous. I hope some of these performance clips from her are creating enough buzz that her label can start taking the necessary steps to get her sophomore album out cause I need it in my life.. now.

The lovely & talented Karina performed her own "Slow Motion" as well as Beyonce's "Halo" for RAWsession TV. I was particularly feeling her rendition of "Halo." If you ever doubted this girl's abilities, check her out here. Karina's debut album First Love is out now.

Fresh off her Grammy-nominated debut album First Love, Karina is currently back in the studio working on her sophomore album. Footage featuring new Karina music has surfaced, which has her & the producers showing quite a bit of excitement regarding her new material. I must say, they aren't too far off either because Karina's new stuff is sounding incredible. She definitely deserves to be recognized by a wider public with her sophomore effort.

The dang Jonas Brothers extend their stay at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart this week with A Little Bit Longer, while the extremely underrated Karina debuts at #57 with her first album First Love. For whatever reason, T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" makes a record leap to top this week's Hot 100 singles chart, where Pink has the hot shot debut with her new single "So What" at #9. I just gotta give a shout-out to the wonderful Jazmine Sullivan as well because her first single "Need U Bad" jumps from #4-#1(!) on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this week, while the song reaches a peak of #42 on this week's Hot 100 chart.
