The Black-Eyed Peas Perform "Don't Stop The Party" On Vivement Dimanche

The Black-Eyed Peas recently performed their third single "Don't Stop The Party" off The Beginning on Vivement Dimanche in France. To be honest, I can't remember the last time I made it all the way through a BEPs performance without becoming disinterested/finding something better to do...

The Black-Eyed Peas Perform "Don't Stop The Party" On Dancing With The Stars

On this week's Dancing With The Stars finale, The Black-Eyed Peas took the stage to perform "Don't Stop The Party", the third single off their latest album The Beginning. It was a pretty cool performance from the group, which is ironically (see: album title) getting ready to take a much-needed hiatus.

The 2011 Billboard Music Awards Recap

The Black-Eyed Peas - Medley

The Billboard Music Awards made their triumphant return by honoring Beyonce, who also gave the night's best performance, with the Millennium Award. The ever-robotic Britney Spears opened the show with Rihanna & effectively closed it by performing the "Till The World Ends" remix with Nicki Minaj following the latter's own bubbly performance of "Super Bass". Rihanna also walked away with the Top Female Artist & Top Radio Songs Artist awards as well as the trophy for Top Rap Song for "Love The Way You Lie" with Eminem. Mary J. Blige performed my JAM, while OneRepublic, with "Good Life", kicked off a joint performance with Far East Movement, which Ryan Tedder joined afterwards to perform their collaboration "Rocketeer" before they took over. In addition, The Black-Eyed Peas performed a medley of "Just Can't Get Enough" & "I Gotta Feeling" (with hints of "Boom Boom Pow" & "Don't Stop The Party" thrown in), & received the award for Top Duo/Group. Non-attendee (as far as I can tell) Usher picked up three awards: Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album for Raymond Vs. Raymond, & Top R&B Song for "OMG". To check out all the winners, click HERE.

The Black-Eyed Peas "Don't Stop The Party" Video Premiere

"Don't Stop The Party" is the third single lifted from The Black-Eyed Peas' latest album The Beginning. I wonder if they realize that they've already done this kind of video--for the same tour! Ugh. The way they went from hip-hop to techno still... ugh.

Similarly, Katy Perry's "E.T." returns to the top of the Hot 100 singles chart, where The Black-Eyed Peas earn the Airplay Gainer title for, but stay @ #3 with "Just Can't Get Enough". Nicki Minaj & The Black-Eyed Peas each picked up four, while Monica & Alicia Keys scored a pair each as well. Set to perform are Rihanna & The Black-Eyed Peas. Idol Review: Top 12

The Black-Eyed Peas "Just Can't Get Enough"

Jacob Lusk "Alone"

Better late than never, I always say! (Last) Wednesday's show started off rather crapily (I declare 'crapily' a word. #dealwiththat) with Naima choosing a song completely out of her element, Paul being Paul, & Thia karaoke-ing it up once again. Then, James was bad--even for James, Haley chose Whitney Houston for some God-forsaken reason, & Stefano, like many of his fellow contestants, continued his streak of awful song choices. Finally, Pia came to save the day with her soaring vocals on a mediocre tune. Scotty was his typical lame self, while Casey was especially terrible. Lauren has such potential, but if she keeps choosing obvious songs that she sounds oh-so-karaoke on..! Jacob closed the show with the week's best performance. I'm bummed (though not surprised) that Karen went home. Sure she didn't pick the best songs, but neither have the majority of these peeps & she was one of the most talented--& so sweet! It's a shame America couldn't see that & was instead blinded by what was entertaining in the moment (AKA people you'll never hear from again after May).

The Black-Eyed Peas "Just Can't Get Enough" Video Premiere

"Just Can't Get Enough" is the second single lifted from The Black-Eyed Peas' latest album The Beginning. All I'll say is that as time goes by, these images will likely become much more special than the Peas had ever imagined.

Super Bowl XLV Highlights

Christina Aguilera - National Anthem

The Black-Eyed Peas, Slash, & Usher - Halftime Show

Super Bowl XLV kicked off with Christina Aguilera's powerful rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner". OK, so she flubbed a few words, like no one's ever done that before--& with less pressure, at that, & the last note suffered a bit from it, so what? She kept going, for one, & sang her little heart out! Halftime brought us its first female performer (Fergie) since Janet Jackson in 2004 with The Black-Eyed Peas, who performed "I Gotta Feeling" & "Boom Boom Pow" before being joined by Slash, who played guitar while Fergie sang "Sweet Child O' Mine", originally by his band Guns & Roses. The BEPs then went into "Pump It" & "Let's Get It Started" before Usher joined will.i.am to perform their collabo "OMG", which was followed by the Peas' "Where Is The Love?" & finally "The Time (Dirty Bit)". The vocals weren't much... but then, when are they ever with the BEPs; however, the flashing lights were enough of a distraction that the show was the best the Super Bowl's seen in years (seven, to be exact!). The highlight for me was Usher, who really killed those moves! Speaking of highlights, check out the Super Bowl commercials for a couple of promising animated movies:

The 2011 NRJ Music Awards Recap + More

Usher - Medley

The Black-Eyed Peas "The Time (Dirty Bit)"

Usher took the stage at the 2011 NRJ Music Awards in France to perform his "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love"/"OMG" medley, while (half of) The Black-Eyed Peas gave a strange performance. Both acts walked away winners: Usher for International Male Artist Of The Year & The Black-Eyed Peas for International Group/Duo Of The Year & Concert Of The Year (don't ask me which one... lol). Beyonce also won Music Video Of The Year for her collaboration with Lady Gaga on "Telephone". Anybody else ready for this new year to translate into some new music/a fresh start?!

In other award show news, because I had no particular reason to post it earlier & didn't really remember to until now, the 2011 People's Choice Awards earlier this month also resulted in a win for Usher as well as a few for Rihanna. Usher picked up Favorite R&B Artist, while Rihanna won Favorite Pop Artist in addition to both Favorite Song & Favorite Music Video for "Love The Way You Lie" with Eminem.

Also entering this week is Jazmine Sullivan's Love Me Back @ #15 with 57,000 copies sold. (Fefe Dobson appears to have failed to chart with Joy unfortunately.) Over on the Hot 100 singles chart, Katy Perry makes her way to the top with "Firework".
