Keyshia Cole "A Different Me" Tour: Access Granted

Keyshia Cole's "A Different Me" tour was recently featured on an episode of Access Granted when she, Keri Hilson, The-Dream, & Bobby Valentino made their stop in Atlanta. Mmm! Keyshia & Keri in the same show... I wanna go! Keyshia even brought out Monica for a special performance of "Trust." Good stuff.

The-Dream ft. Kanye West "Walkin' On The Moon" Video Premiere

"Walkin' On The Moon," featuring Kanye West, is the third single off The-Dream's sophomore album Love Vs. Money. I do love eye candy, but a big budget video for The-Dream? Director Hype Williams definitely did his thing, but I just wish it had been done for a more deserving (AKA more talented) artist.

2009 BET Award Nominees Announced

Beyonce is set to perform at & leads the nominations for the 2009 BET Awards. Sasha Fierce was nominated for five trophies, while Keri Hilson nabbed four & Jazmine Sullivan received three. These nominations are actually pretty good, so I'm gonna post them (along with my picks in bold) below:

Kelly Clarkson makes her triumphant return to the top of the Billboard 200 album chart this week with her fourth album All I Ever Wanted after selling 255,000 copies. The-Dream's Love Vs. Money didn't do too shabby either, debuting at #2 with 151,000 copies sold. Flo Rida's "Right Round" makes it five consecutive weeks atop the Hot 100 singles chart, which sees quite a few debuts this week. The Hot Shot Debut comes from Carrie Underwood, whose "Home Sweet Home" comes in at #21 after selling 112,000 digital copies. Other debuts come from Kelly Clarkson ("Already Gone," #70), The Black-Eyed Peas ("Boom Boom Pow," #71), & Ashanti ("Want It, Need It" with Plies, #96).

The-Dream ft. Christina Milian "Amazing (Remix)" Song Premiere

The-Dream & Christina Milian have remixed Kanye West's track "Amazing" for this new viral video. The-Dream compares his new album Love Vs. Money to Thriller in the song & though it's alright, it ain't all that. Meanwhile, Christina Milian's next album Elope is set to drop in May.

"My Love," featuring Mariah Carey, is the second single taken from The-Dream's sophomore album Love Vs. Money, which drops tomorrow. Mariah hoods it up for this one & the result is pretty great. The clip is almost perfect, sans director Nick Cannon.

The-Dream "Rockin' That Thang (Remix)" Video Premiere

The-Dream joins forces with Ludacris, Fabolous, Juelz Santana, & Rick Ross for the remix to his first single "Rockin' That Thang" off Love Vs. Money (March 10th). I don't really think the remix does anything for the song. However, considering it's a remix video, I quite like the concept.

The-Dream "Rockin' That Thang" Video Premiere

"Rockin' That Thang" is the first single taken from The-Dream's upcoming second album Love Vs. Money (March 10th). Director Ray Kay gave this one a great look, which has me that much closer to liking the song.

Note: I'd like to mention that the short ad for Fox's new series Dollhouse that plays before the video is worth a glance. I can't wait to see the show!

What hair you have, Mariah! I look forward to seeing the finished product, but seeing as how The-Dream's video for his first single hasn't premiered yet, I'm not sure when we'll get to see it.

Even though I like his Mariah collabo, when I heard it was supposedly his second single, I had to search to discover that "Rockin' That Thang" has already been released as the first. I say it in this way because the song is so uninspiring & forgettable that I hadn't given it an ounce of thought since it leaked (whenever that was). Album track "Let Me See The Booty" isn't much better. Personally, I think The-Dream should just stick to his hit-&-miss producing career if he's gonna release material this mediocre.

The-Dream Album Update

The-Dream is all set to release his sophomore album by the year's end. Love Vs. Money is due out on December 16th, but no first single has been chosen yet. Possibilities include "You Ain't S***," "Fancy," "Right Side Of My Brain," "Make Love To Me," & "Kelly's 12 Play," which is inspired by R. Kelly. Mariah Carey is actually listed as a guest on "My Love," while Lil' Jon produced the track "Booty." The-Dream re-teamed with partner Tricky Stewart & producer LOS Da Maestro, the latter of which worked on the bulk of Love/Hate, The-Dream's debut effort. Also, an encore to the track "Nikki" from his first album will appear on the set. While I'm mainly interested in the Mariah collabo (The-Dream & Tricky Stewart were the two behind MC's hit "Touch My Body"), I'll be checking to see what The-Dream has in store with this new album.
