Jennifer Lopez had a showstopping night (of redemption) at the 2011 American Music Awards with her own performance of "Until It Beats No More" "Papi" & "On The Floor", a performance of her collabo with will.i.am, & a win in the Latin Music Artist category! Nicki Minaj set the bar high at the top of the show, performing her David Guetta collabo "Turn Me On" as well as "Super Bass" before going on to win both the Rap/Hip-Hop Artist & Rap/Hip-Hop Album (Pink Friday) trophies! Christina Aguilera... didn't look completely terrible, but sounded terrific while performing her #1 hit with Maroon 5. Mary J. Blige performed her cool new single for the first time... by herself, which was weird since Drake was there, not that I'm complaining. Kelly Clarkson switched things up for a jazzy performance of her latest single that I dug, while OneRepublic stuck to what works with theirs. Meanwhile, Beyonce & Usher won Soul/R&B Female Artist & Soul/R&B Male Artist, respectively, & Rihanna picked up the award for Soul/R&B Album for Loud. A complete list of winners can be viewed HERE.

Ryan Tedder brought his tired voice from the road to the 2011 Teen Choice Awards, where he joined his band OneRepublic onstage for a performance of their hit single "Good Life". Jennifer Lopez won Choice TV Personality for her role on American Idol, which picked up the Choice TV Reality Competition Show surfboard. Following Beyonce's second week atop the Billboard 200 album chart with 4 was Blake Shelton's Red River Blue. Meanwhile, LMFAO has spent the last two weeks on top of the Hot 100 singles chart with "Party Rock Anthem". Last week, OneRepublic's "Good Life" jumped 9-8 & earned the Digital Gainer title, while Avril Lavigne debuted @ #94 with "Smile".

Beyonce makes it 4-for-4 with 4, which tops the Billboard 200 album chart with 310,000 in first-week sales. On the Hot 100 singles chart, LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" lands on top, while OneRepublic earns their second top 10 hit with "Good Life" (18-9) because of a performance of it on The Voice by Ryan Tedder with Beverly McClellan, who also accompanies Christina Aguilera @ #74 with the debut of their "Beautiful" duet.

Ryan Tedder & Beverly McClellan Perform "Good Life" On The Voice

Beverly McClellan has the best luck! (Well, besides the whole losing thing...) Not only did she get to perform with & be mentored by Christina Aguilera, but she was joined by Ryan Tedder to perform his band OneRepublic's "Good Life" on the finale of The Voice. It was, however, pretty much a big fat awkward fail.

The Billboard Music Awards made their triumphant return by honoring Beyonce, who also gave the night's best performance, with the Millennium Award. The ever-robotic Britney Spears opened the show with Rihanna & effectively closed it by performing the "Till The World Ends" remix with Nicki Minaj following the latter's own bubbly performance of "Super Bass". Rihanna also walked away with the Top Female Artist & Top Radio Songs Artist awards as well as the trophy for Top Rap Song for "Love The Way You Lie" with Eminem. Mary J. Blige performed my JAM, while OneRepublic, with "Good Life", kicked off a joint performance with Far East Movement, which Ryan Tedder joined afterwards to perform their collaboration "Rocketeer" before they took over. In addition, The Black-Eyed Peas performed a medley of "Just Can't Get Enough" & "I Gotta Feeling" (with hints of "Boom Boom Pow" & "Don't Stop The Party" thrown in), & received the award for Top Duo/Group. Non-attendee (as far as I can tell) Usher picked up three awards: Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Album for Raymond Vs. Raymond, & Top R&B Song for "OMG". To check out all the winners, click HERE.

2011 Billboard Music Award Update

Since we last spoke about them, the 2011 Billboard Music Awards have added Nicki Minaj &, more recently, OneRepublic to their lineup of performers. Interestingly, Billboard lists Ryan Tedder as a performer separate from OneRepublic... will he be performing alone in addition to with his band?! We shall find out when the 2011 Billboard Music Awards air next Sunday, May 22nd, @ 8/7c on ABC!
