Today rings in the first cool new releases of 2009. First up is Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes' posthumous solo album Eye Legacy, which is an enjoyable set that brings back fond memories. I plan on reviewing the album, which includes the TLC & Missy Elliott-assisted lead single "Let's Just Do It" & a bonus DVD featuring some never-before-seen footage, soon. Due out January 27th on DVD is the all-new animated sequel "Open Season 2." Check out this new trailer, which features our first look at the movie. I thought the first one was hilarious, so I'll be picking this up.

The Caffeine Patch: Open Season 2 Details

Serving as the follow-up to 2006's "Open Season" is the direct-to-DVD sequel "Open Season 2." The cover art for the film, which will be released January 27, 2009, is featured above. The original filmmakers, Sony Pictures Animation, are behind the project, so I'm very excited for this. As far as I know, their reason for not releasing this in theaters is to save money because they believe the movie will perform plenty well simply on DVD.
