Serving as the follow-up to 2006's "Open Season" is the direct-to-DVD sequel "Open Season 2." The cover art for the film, which will be released January 27, 2009, is featured above. The original filmmakers, Sony Pictures Animation, are behind the project, so I'm very excited for this. As far as I know, their reason for not releasing this in theaters is to save money because they believe the movie will perform plenty well simply on DVD.
