"Everybody Knows" is the second single taken from John Legend's third album Evolver. I can't blame them for playing it safe with this one, but John definitely has better material on his latest album to choose from (that's right, "Quickly," I'm talking to you!)

John Legend Performs "Green Light" On The Early Show

John Legend released his third album Evolver today & performed its first single "Green Light" solo (with a background vocalist on Andre's parts) on The Early Show. He actually brought them back from commercial with a bit of his new song "It's Over" & gave a short interview before giving his main performance, which was good. I haven't listened to his entire new album yet, but I like what I've heard so far pretty well. Of course, he gets bonus points for the Brandy collabo.

Brandy "Human" Update + More

Brandy has added the talented Keri Hilson (as a writer) to the roster of contributing players for Human, due November 11th. Also, the second single off Brandy's upcoming fifth studio album, "Long Distance," is a piano-driven ballad produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. In addition to the work Brandy has done on her first album in over four years, she has recorded a duet with John Legend called "Quickly" to be featured on his new album Evolver (October 28th). So much new Brandy, so little time! I love it!

John Legend also performed on last night's finale of Canadian Idol, where he sang his new single "Green Light," the first off his upcoming album Evolver (October 28th). Unfortunately, Andre 3000 wasn't there, so his parts were taken over by ... one of Legend's backups. Anyway, John sounded good, but I'll have to wait & hear another song or two from his new album to determine whether or not he's really grabbed my attention with this new project. Also, I could have sworn the host introduced his as Shawn Legend...

I've always felt about John Legend, well, the way he demonstrates at the beginning of the video. However, I'm really feeling this new one of his. Andre 3000 definitely adds a lil' something special. Also, look out for John's artist Estelle to make a cameo towards the beginning.
