JoJo Performs "Disaster" On IMC

JoJo performed "Disaster", the first single off her third album Jumping Trains, which drops early next year, again on IMC(?). Those vocals are strengthening up, so that's good! I would really like to hear a full-out, non-acoustic performance of this song though.

JoJo Performs "Disaster" On FOX

JoJo performed her lead single "Disaster" off Jumping Trains on another regional FOX broadcast, which we all know have the reputation of skyrocketing a career. Girl, your album is not coming out this year & you need vocal rest!

JoJo "Disaster" Behind-The-Scenes

During a recent interview, JoJo brought along some footage from the set of her "Disaster" video. The clip, which serves as the first single off her third album Jumping Trains, dropping early next year, looks a little basic, but we shall see.

JoJo Performs "Disaster" On KTLA

JoJo gave a solid performance of her new single "Disaster" on KTLA despite being under the weather. I enjoyed those runs! I do hope the vocal issues, which seem to have been going on for quite some time now, aren't permanent though. Look out for her third album Jumping Trains to drop around the top of the year!

JoJo "Jumping Trains" Update

With things finally set in motion for JoJo's third album Jumping Trains to receive a release early next year, the singer has revealed that she worked on the album with my favorite producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, Boi-1da, & even wrote with Lil' Eddie, who had some of his work make it on her last album The High Road. In addition, she says her favorite cut is titled "Elsewhere". Having been absent for five years & still managing to debut on the Hot 100 with the unceremonious release of her first single "Disaster", I certainly hope Interscope runs with JoJo's momentum & doesn't drag their feet!

"Too Little Too Late"

Interview (Pt. 1)

Interview (Pt. 2)

JoJo gave great performances of her new single "Disaster" & old favorite "Too Little Too Late" while stopping by the Q102 studio at a tour stop in Philadelphia. So glad to have that voice back in my life! Look out for JoJo's third album Jumping Trains to drop... whenever Interscope judges a single successful enough.

JoJo Album Update

It was only a matter of time. JoJo has announced that her much-delayed third album will be called Jumping Trains instead of All I Want Is Everything. The new title comes from what will be the title track on the album. I couldn't really care less about what it's called, but especially since she put the song "All I Want Is Everything" on her mixtape, I think the change was due. I'm just ready for the music!

JoJo Guest Stars On Hawaii Five-0

Part 1

Part 2

JoJo was a guest star on this week's episode of Hawaii Five-0. Her parts are featured above; there's some overlap, but between the two videos, it's all there. You get the gist of her role, so don't worry... the show isn't all that great anyway. For what it was though, I thought JoJo did a good job.

JoJo "In The Dark" Video Premiere

"In The Dark" is the first single off JoJo's mixtape Can't Take That Away From Me. This is my favorite song on the mixtape, followed closely by "Pretty Please". I think the video's cool. It's not the most entertaining thing I've ever sat through, but for a viral video, it's good.

JoJo shows off her dark mane in this new promotional photo for her upcoming mixtape Can't Take That Away From Me (September 7th). I've included its first single, which premiered today, below. I know it doesn't show off that fabulous voice we've been missing terribly, but I LOOOVE it!

Exclusive: JoJo "Doorway To My Dreams" Mixtape

A little while back, there seemed to be a JoJo leak every day. It's all seemed to subside for now, but not before JoJo fell victim to a massive number of tracks leaking at one time, a fate several artists faced not too long ago. Well, before that happened, I decided to make use of the numerous songs that had leaked one-by-one from JoJo, considering her serially delayed third album All I Want Is Everything hadn't--& still hasn't--seen the light of day. That's not to say that all of the leaks were 100% album-worthy, but it certainly helps tide fans over who are patiently awaiting the singer's return to the spotlight. As it turns out though, if you ask me, these songs are generally of better quality than those included in the mass-leak that occurred after I put together this "mixtape" I like to call Doorway To My Dreams anyway. I titled it Doorway To My Dreams because--not only is it one of three possible titles for the last track ("Miss My Flight" is another... I just chose to use my favorite)--after all the legal mess JoJo has gone through over the past few years, putting music out there is in fact the doorway to her dream of being a successful recording artist, is it not? So, without further ado, enjoy the musical stylings of JoJo, refer to the tracklisting below, & remind yourself why you loved her voice in the first place.

1. Wrong Man For The Job
2. Back Words
3. Impossible To Love
4. How You Did It
5. 25 To Life
6. Safe With Me
7. Keep Forgetting (To Forget About You)
8. Hooked On You
9. Something In The Water
10. You Take Me (Around The World)
11. I Hate Love
12. Forever In My Life
13. Fly Away

JoJo Sings Covers On YouTube

Since she can't seem to get a record out, JoJo felt like singing, so she took to YouTube to post a couple of cover songs recently. Above, she belts The Script's "Breakeven (Falling To Pieces)" & below, she sings John Mayer's "In Your Atmosphere".

Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam Performance Highlights

Timbaland ft. JoJo "Lose Control"

Rihanna - Pt. 1

Rihanna - Pt. 2

While the stars gathered this weekend for the Super Bowl in Miami, Rihanna performed a whole set & JoJo joined Timbaland on stage for their Shock Value 2 collaboration at the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam. I don't recall ever having the opportunity to post a JoJo performance on my blog before, making it just about a 3-year absense from the stage for her--of the televised sort anyway, so this is cool! As for RiRi, it was pretty much the regular schtick from her... I just wish they hadn't cut off the "Rude Boy" performance. Check out her setlist below:

Pt. 1:
Mad House
Wait Your Turn
Live Your Life
Disturbia

Pt. 2:
Russian Roulette
Hard (ft. Young Jeezy)
Rude Boy

*UPDATED* JoJo "All I Want Is Everything" Update

JoJo sat down with Rap-Up to discuss her tumultuous past (see below) & bright future (see above). She name-dropped several people who've been helping her work on her 2010 album All I Want Is Everything; among them, Chad Hugo (of The Neptunes), Jim Beanz (Keri Hilson, Ciara), & Kenna (Ashlee Simpson). Also, after working on Shock Value II, JoJo revealed that she will be hitting the studio in January with Timbaland to work on some material for her project; she also hopes to put some studio time in with Pharrell in the near future. JoJo is also planning to release a mixtape, which she has started working on with Clinton Sparks & Chester French. Personally, I'm very excited for both JoJo's long-awaited third album as well as her upcoming mixtape. We've waited so long, it's cool to have so much to look forward to here pretty soon!

UPDATE: Check out JoJo singing part of "Winter Wonderland":

JoJo briefly talked about her recent label drama & played some music from her upcoming album All I Want Is Everything for E! Sometimes, we fans just need a little promo like this for some validation that the record really is on its way. Soundin' good, JoJo!

JoJo, Others Collaborate With Timbaland

You've heard Bran'Nu's songs from Timbaland's Shock Value 2 (December 8th), but what about everybody else? Well, for one, I'm excited for JoJo because she is featured on the album's third track "Lose Control":

I actually like this one *ahem*. I don't know why I was thinking earlier this year that Timbaland's beats were getting stale because this album is pretty hot! Further evidence can be found in the Keri Hilson-featured "The One I Love," which is also assisted by D.O.E.:

Another sizzling collabo from Keri & Timbo. They really do create magic together. Last but not least is Timbaland's version of OneRepublic's "Marchin' On," the original version of which can be found on the band's new album Waking Up. Listen to the remix below:

I'm used to the other version, but I think I like this one better. Definitely more up my alley. I can dig it.
