Solange "Kenya" Video Premiere

Solange has teamed up with CANT & Twin Shadow to record "Kenya" for Music For RAIN. The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation's Replenish Africa Initiative's goal is "to provide clean water & sanitation resources to Africa's most needy." You can donate to the cause either monetarily or by downloading the song HERE. Good song for a good cause!

Mya "K.I.S.S." Cover & Tracklisting

On April 6th, Mya is set to release her sixth studio album--& third exclusive to the currently disaster-ridden Japan--K.I.S.S., the cover art for which is featured above. She looks good (as if she couldn't)! Below, I've included the set's tracklisting:

1. K.I.S.S.
2. Rear View Mirror
3. Fabulous Life
4. Mess Up My Hair
5. Fugitive Of Love
6. Love Me Some You (ft. Marques Houston)
7. Mr. Incredible
8. Problem + Solution
9. Runnin' Back (ft. Iyaz)
10. Before U Say Goodbye
11. Love Comes Love Goes
12. Evolve

Japan Bonus Tracks:
13. Alive
14. Fabulous Life (Dawty Remix)
15. Simplicity (Dawty Remix)

"Fabulous Life" & "Alive" are some of the best Mya songs in years--not to mention there's a Marques Houston collabo--so I have high hopes for this album! (It appears that a Trina-featured song that would've fallen between tracks 4 & 5 with the unfortunate title "Earthquake" has been removed from the previously announced tracklisting, sadly...)

"Wish You Were Here", "What The Hell", "Push", & "Smile"

"Girlfriend" & "I'm With You"

Interview

Avril Lavigne performed selections from her wonderful new album Goodbye Lullaby on Walmart Soundcheck as well as old hits, including "I'm With You", which Rihanna notably sampled recently in "Cheers (Drink To That)". Seriously, the woman's voice..! She sounds gorgeous!

Avril Lavigne Performs On Radio 1 Live Lounge

What The Hell

Tik Tok (Ke$ha Cover)

Avril Lavigne did a little overseas promo for her new album Goodbye Lullaby by stopping by BBC's Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform her first single "What The Hell" & put her own spin on Ke$ha's "Tik Tok". Ya, the "Tik Tok" cover was cute, but really, the woman's chops are underrated! I mean, did you see how little effort she was putting into sounding flawless?!

Nicki Minaj "Super Bass" Behind-The-Scenes

Check out Nicki Minaj on the set of her video for "Super Bass", a track off the deluxe edition of Pink Friday. I'm not sure if it's her next single necessarily (don't forget about that "Fly" video that's waiting in the wings), but if they were smart, it would be. Speaking of which, she know she wrong for leaving this off the standard edition of the album... it's just a shame it took Taylor friggin' Swift for her to see it! I wonder if poor, uncredited Ester Dean will appear in the video...

*UPDATED* New Britney Spears Promo Pics

I like this new promotional photo of Britney Spears! I'm four tracks into Femme Fatale (March 29th) & while it does sound like Dr. Luke spent waaay too much time producing it, I'm enjoying the album!

UPDATE: Added two more:

UPDATE #2: And another...

Michael Jackson "Hollywood Tonight" Video Premiere

"Hollywood Tonight" is the second single off Michael Jackson's new album Michael. I got nothin'.

Idol Review: Top 13

Adam Lambert "Aftermath"

Dirty Money ft. Skylar Grey "Coming Home"

Pia Toscano "All By Myself"

So, first of all, let's talk about Wednesday. Lauren's gonna have to do better than karaoke if she's gonna win me over. Casey spoke... I was lost. Ashthon EARNED her elimination doing a godawful impersonation of Vonzell's *perfect* performance of the same song six years ago. Paul, as always, sounded like a bad James Blunt... I was confused. The performance of the week came from Pia, who proved herself to be even more talented than I thought she was judging from last week's performance, hitting Celine notes easily while simultaneously showing off her gorgeous tone--what the show's all about, people! James... was bad... I, uh... Haley, surprisingly enough, did LeAnn justice & I actually think blues-y country like that is a much better fit for her than the pop/rock that the judges are suggesting, not that she'd win me over either way. While it wasn't his strongest vocal showing, Jacob's voice still amazes me. Thia wasn't half bad until the arrangement switcharoo. Stefano lost me with... whatever that was. Karen did better than she got credit for. I'm not saying she blew me away, but her tone was gorgeous, you could tell it meant a lot to her to sing that song, & she's just so darn likeable! I'm no longer going to just accept Scotty for what he is (especially if DialIdol is to be believed) since he's decided he can sing any ol' country song because--& I don't even like him but--there's no comparison between you & Garth Brooks, kid! Naima embarassed herself... although I will say that after listening to her iTunes snippet, if she stuck to reggae, she might have something (but she won't).

Thursday resulted (heh) in an acoustic performance of "Aftermath" from Adam Lambert, which was good on his behalf, although it pales in comparison to the album version. Speaking of which, Adam is selling the Billboard remix of "Aftermath" HERE for charity. Not to take away from the cause, but the album version > the acoustic version > the remix. Also, Dirty Money performed on Idol again & I must say, I'm really starting to like this Skylar Grey character.

Billboard Update

^#1 Album #1 Single^

Adele's 21 & Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" repeat on top of the Billboard 200 album chart & Hot 100 singles chart this week, respectively. I think there's an interesting message behind this that only those who can understand it without it being explained to them can appreciate. Anyway, Britney Spears debuts on the Hot 100 @ #20 with "Till The World Ends", while Jennifer Lopez's "On The Floor" jumps 9-5 & earns Digital Gainer honors (223,000, +31%).

Britney Spears Does Out Magazine

Britney Spears covers the new issue of Out &... I'm sorry, but she just doesn't look thaaat great. She looks alright on the cover & it's not that her body isn't in pretty good shape, but take for example everything above the head hole in what she's wearing below, left. I mean... anyway, Brit's upcoming album Femme Fatale drops March 29th & I'm looking forward, not gonna lie.

New Music Tuesday: Avril Lavigne "Goodbye Lullaby"

^Click To Purchase^

Avril Lavigne has brought us the first notable CD release of the year with her fourth album Goodbye Lullaby. The album, which features the hit single "What The Hell", is some of her better work & I'll have my review for it up soon!

Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland "Gone" Video Premiere

The "Dilemma" continues as Nelly & Kelly Rowland reunite in the video for "Gone", the new single off his latest album 5.0. Oh, Kelly! Those on-POINT vocals..! I think I might just listen to this "Motivation" with a more open mind...

Nicole Scherzinger On Loose Women

"Don't Hold Your Breath"

Interview

With the release of her debut album Killer Love a mere 13 days away in the UK, Nicole Scherzinger is making the rounds promoting her new single "Don't Hold Your Breath" with this latest performance on Loose Women. *Waits for Killer Love to leak*

Melanie Fiona "Gone & Never Coming Back" Video Premiere

"Gone & Never Coming Back" is the first single off Melanie Fiona's upcoming sophomore album The MF Life, due this summer. The Colin Tilley-directed video isn't without its flaws, but it will suffice. I LOVE the chorus of this song!
