Rihanna's complete interview with Diane Sawyer aired this evening on 20/20. While describing the assault she received from Chris Brown, Rihanna discussed her thoughts both during & afterwards as well as what she has learned from the situation, what she hopes Chris has learned, & how she is making the best of her situation. I applaud Rihanna for speaking out about her experience, making clear the fact that no matter what anyone who is domestically abused has done, it is NOT their fault & there is NOTHING that can justify being abused. It was heartbreaking to hear how helpless Rihanna felt that night, yet eye-opening & inspiring to hear the mental process she went through to get to where she is today. I wish her all the best during this period of transition in her life as she tries to move on with the release of her new album Rated R on November 23rd.
