"Hood Love", featuring Trey Songz, is the third single off Mary J. Blige's new album Stronger With Each Tear. I'm not loving this single choice... I'm not even sure I like the concept of the song. I also--all of a sudden--find the song's transition into a duet with Trey halfway through a little weird. Why does MJB's label think that putting out her song with Trey is gonna make it easier for her to get a hit this time around anyway? It hasn't worked for anyone else who's tried that thus far (see: Toni Braxton, Amerie). Nonetheless, I support Mary as always & the Chris Robinson-directed video ain't too shabby.
