Jennifer Hudson Covers "Believe" On Brooks & Dunn: The Last Rodeo

Jennifer Hudson tried her hand at country music when she performed at Brooks & Dunn: The Last Rodeo, singing their tune "Believe" as a tribute to the retiring duo. I don't know the original, but lemme tell ya, if country music sounded like that..! This woman is incredible!

This was the most amazing cover last night. I love this song anyway and knowing she lost her Mom and another family member to violence a couple of years ago made it even more meaningful. I watched it four times and got chills every time.

When I read that Jennifer Hudson was going to be on a country music show I thought WTF....boy was I wrong...amazing performance of a great song...she absolutely hit it out of the park !!! Probably the best performance of the night. She has come such a long way since her idol days. Expect a lot of great things from this lady who has had to deal with a lot of tough shit in her life....way to go !!!!

Jennifer Hudson is both amazing and incredible on the mic. She to me is the best female vocalist in the industry today hands down. This lady can sing any song and can put a great tune in place as well. A voice like no other!!!

Knowing the song orginal sang by Brooks and Dunn, I really did not care for Jennifers version. Couldn't understand most of the words. Actually thought she butched the song....

June 4,2010: You don't know real music at all. When you are singing someone elsa song you are not suppose to sing it the way they did. You are suppose to make the song your very own, and that is what true artist do. Jennifer Hudson was incredible, and I know they were very pleased. The young multi-talented super star is the best female vocalist in the industry. Like her are not her voice ant nothing but the real truth.

I love Brooks and Dunn and although I am not a Hudson Fan. She made that song her own and you could tell by Brooks and Dunn faces they were proud of her performance. She was great and put a lump in my throat for sure...
