N.E.R.D. Album Update

The guys (+ Rhea) of N.E.R.D. were planning to release their new album Instant Gratification sometime this year, but things have since changed. The group has started from scratch on their upcoming album, now fittingly titled Nothing. Pharrell explains why:

"We scrapped 27 records because they weren't good enough. They sounded great, but what were they saying? So we went back [to the studio] & just focused on feeling."

Right, Mr. Williams, because you all are known for such meaningful records as "Spaz." I just wish that if the new songs "sounded great," they wouldn't go to waste. However, if the material they come up with now is good as well, I'll be happy. I just don't like waiting (& you've already wasted some of our time with Not-So-Instant Gratification...). We should soon hear some of N.E.R.D.'s deep new material in the form of a song called "Hot & Fun." O_o
