^#1 Album #1 Single^
For the first time in over 15 years, Whitney Houston tops the Billboard 200 album chart. Her new album I Look To You gave Whitney her best sales week ever by shifting 305,000 copies in its debut week. Most definitely a comeback worthy of the ultimate diva! The Black-Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" is still #1 on the Hot 100 singles chart, but that's not actually the chart's big news this week. Mariah Carey moves 11-7 with "Obsessed" in its ninth week, giving Mariah her 27th top ten hit on the chart. That puts her in fifth place alongside Elton John & Janet Jackson for the most top tens in history. Also, Beyonce "becomes the fifth female in Hot 100 history to place six songs from one album within the top 40," as "Sweet Dreams" goes 46-39. Lastly, Whitney Houston is also making her mark on the singles chart. Her new album's title track "I Look To You" jumps 98-70, giving her the highest position she's had on the chart in nine years, while "Million Dollar Bill" debuts at #100.
