Is that an Elle magazine cover in the shape of an album booklet, you say? Why, it sure is, because with her upcoming album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel (September 15th), Mariah Carey is trying something unprecedented. Memoirs will be packaged in a "3-panel softpack" that includes 1) the album, 2) an enhanced CD featuring the original & remix "Obsessed" videos as well as three remixes, & 3) an Elle mini-magazine with an inside look at Mariah & lifestyle ads. Obviously this is a recessionary measure to try & save every cent possible, but I still think it's cool. I would dish out the dough for a magazine dedicated to Mariah anyway, so why not include it in the album itself? Not to mention an extra disc of bonus material is pretty exciting!As far as what to expect from Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel itself, a cover of Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is" has been confirmed for the project, as has a song titled "Standing Ovation." Great things are being said, so that's good news.
To get ready for the album release, Mariah will do numerous promotional appearances. She is all set for VH1 Storytellers, a 106 & Park takeover, & the Today show's Summer Concert Series wrap-up--all in addition to her performance of "Obsessed" on America's Got Talent this Wednesday @ 9/8c on NBC. Mariah will also finally get her star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Excellent!

I wanted to share this link with other Mariah fans! I wish back in the day I got to see her at Unplugged, how awesome would that be to be in a small room with a huge talent like Miss Mariah!!! Well now you can…Enter now for your chance to win a pair of tickets to see Mariah in NYC on 8/10!
