The Black-Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling"

As the years go by, the Teen Choice Awards get worse & worse, & this year's show was no exception. Calling them highlights would be a stretch, but weeding through the Twilight/Disney Channel winners & performers, I've managed to find a few noteworthy things. The Black-Eyed Peas performed their current #1 single & I found the surfboards at the beginning cool. Also, Sean Kingston took the stage with his most recent hit & couldn't particularly hide the fact that he just isn't such a great performer. Of the 87 categories, here is the handful of decent winners:
- David Archuleta: Choice Music Breakout Artist, Choice Music Love Song ("Crush"), Choice Music Tour (with Demi Lovato)
- Beyonce: Choice Music R&B Artist, Choice Music R&B Track ("Single Ladies")
- Britney Spears: Ultimate Choice Award
- Adam Lambert: Choice TV Male Reality/Variety Star
- The Black-Eyed Peas: Choice Music Rap/Hip-Hop Track ("Boom Boom Pow")
- American Idol: Choice TV Reality Competition
- Kanye West: Choice Music Rap Artist
Look at you, Archie! Winning all the awards you were nominated for... Go David! I'm also glad Beyonce walked away with SOMETHING. She did have eight nominations after all, so thankfully She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named wasn't in the R&B categories to screw things up. Britney got herself an honorary award so that she would show up for ratings... as if any of these 14-year-old JoBro fangirls actually know why Britney is so awesome. Oh, & I've been dying to say this: Glambert beat Kris Allen! Yes!! Eh, I guess the unaired awards weren't so bad. View all the winners (Up! Ellen DeGeneres! The Proposal!) HERE.

agree! TCAs are getting worse and worse. Sick of JoBros, Miley, and Twilight. Move on TCAs!
Only good thing was David's 3 wins (which he SO deserved!). Too bad he was in concert that night and couldn't be at the awards -that would have been epic!
