Beyonce ties Lady GaGa for most nominations at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, both with nine. Britney Spears isn't far behind with seven, followed by Kanye West with four. Pink, a nominee for Best Female Video, will perform at the show, as will Mariah Carey, reportedly, though I wouldn't blame her if she snubbed them the way they snubbed her. I'm not exactly pleased with the nominations. Nothing for "Obsessed," cross-dressing shenanigans & all? Hot videos like "Jai Ho" &, my favorite of the year so far, "Love Sex Magic" only getting a single nod in the technical, non-voting categories? Whatever.
