Billboard Update: Michael Jackson Rules!

^This week's #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart
This week's #1 single on the Hot 100 chart^

See full charts HERE.

The Black-Eyed Peas reclaim the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart this week with The END, while their latest single "I Gotta Feeling" swaps with their last, which had held the #1 slot for 12 weeks, on the Hot 100 singles chart. Definitely a good week for them. (Last week, Beyonce's Above & Beyonce CD/DVD debuted on the Billboard 200 at #36, but climbs a spot this week.) And now...

Once again, Michael Jackson proves that he is the King of the Pop charts! He holds the top nine positions on the Top Pop Catalog Albums chart & sold a total of 422,000 copies of his solo albums in the past week. Here's how that breaks down (The number following the sales figure, if any, is Jackson's respective position on the Top Digital Albums chart):

1. Number Ones (108,000; #3)
2. The Essential Michael Jackson (102,000; #1)
3. Thriller (101,000; #2)
4. Off The Wall (33,000; #4)
5. The Ultimate Collection (17,000)*^
6. Bad (18,000; #8)
7. Dangerous (14,000; #10)
8. Greatest Hits: HIStory -- Volume 1 (12,000)
9. The Ultimate Collection (11,000)^

* = a Jackson 5 title
^ = debut, as opposed to a re-entry

It should also be noted that with The Black-Eyed Peas' The END only selling 88,000 copies this week, it marks the first time the top album (let alone the top three) on the Top Pop Catalog Albums chart has outsold the #1 album on the Billboard 200. Jackson also fared well on the Top Digital Songs chart, scoring a record 25 out of the 75 songs on the chart! He lands six in the top 10 & after selling a total of 2.6 million downloads in one week (making him the only artist that has ever sold over a million song downloads in a week), here's how that breaks down:

2. "Thriller" (167,000)
3. "Man In The Mirror" (165,000)
4. "Billie Jean" (158,000)
6. "The Way You Make Me Feel" (136,000)
7. "Beat It" (134,000)
8. "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" (125,000)

All together now... W-O-W!!!
