Here's Adam Lambert's Rolling Stone cover story in which he announces to the world he's gay. Personally, I think the tell-all interview will be an interesting one to read, so if you wanna read the entire article, I suggest you pick up the issue, which hits stands this week. My favorite quote, however, that has popped up from the interview so far is Adam referring to why he didn't talk about his sexuality on American Idol:"I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing."
Amen! If you don't think America is this shallow, think again. Adam has never hidden who he is out of shame, nor did he go into the competition waving his rainbow flag for extra attention. He did the smartest, most honorable thing by simply allowing his talent to shine in what was, oh ya, a singing competition!
In related news, Adam has officially signed a record deal with RCA Records & 19 Entertainment. He will join fellow Idol alumni Kelly Clarkson & Chris Daughtry on the label. You already know I'm psyched for his debut album, which is due to be released in the fall.
