Weekend Flashback Performance: Mariah Carey At The Rosie O'Donnell Show

The year was 1998. Mariah Carey had just released a landmark album for her & one of the best of her career: Butterfly. Everybody knows the first single "Honey" & the subsequent #1 "My All," but Mariah chose instead to sing the better album track "Close My Eyes" when she appeared on The Rosie O'Donnell Show to promote the album. The rest is history. This is a classic Mariah performance of a fan favorite that just goes to show what a special talent MC really is.

Amazing. Incredible performance by Mariah. She's so much deeper than people give her credit for, and she is such a raw talent. I really think when people look back on our generation thirty years from now, they are going to remember Mariah and everything she contributed to music.
