Beyonce To Play Eartha Kitt

Hot off her portrayal of Etta James in the upcoming "Cadillac Records," Beyonce has landed the role of Eartha Kitt in a biopic of the entertainer's life. Eartha Kitt is perhaps best known as a former Catwoman. I suppose it is Beyonce's goal to play every famous black woman they make a movie about, but I like her acting, so it's alright with me. On the music side, Beyonce's third studio album I Am... is due out on November 18th.

Give me a break! African Americans are past a spokesperson. Beyonce does not need to represent EVERY famous black woman of past history. There are a lot of known and unknown actresses that would be a breath of fresh air. Just like Eartha Kitt said in an interview the entertainment industry has gotten away from quality; they just want to put a face on screen that will bring in the bucks. Beyonce is a very talented entertainer, however she should understand that she should give other talented actresses a chance, rather than taking every role because of her dollar power.
