*UPDATED* Britney Spears Album Update

Fresh off her triple win at the 2008 MTV VMAs, Britney Spears is set to launch her comeback with sixth studio album Circus, which will be released on December 2nd, Spears' 27th birthday. The lead single off the project is entitled "Womanizer" & was produced by The Outsyders. The title track off the album was written & produced by Dr. Luke, with other contributors to the project including Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant, & Guy Sigsworth. Call me crazy, but this feels sudden! Of course, I'm very excited about it. I guess I just thought that since she didn't perform at the VMAs, she wasn't very close to launching her music career back up again yet. At the same time, I can see why Jive wouldn't wanna take the chance of an '07 repeat. I hope it isn't just wishful thinking, but I really do think Britney will bring it this time, considering that secret rehearsal video that was revealed recently. Which reminds me: bring on that new dance-heavy music video!

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that Britney's first single "Womanizer" will be released to radio this coming Monday, September 22nd!
