Avant Self-Titled Album Update

With his new single "When It Hurts," Avant is returning to the scene with the new album Avant, due October 28th, on a new label, Capitol Records. This time around, Avant is working with the likes of the Trackmasters & Mr. Collipark, among others. Confirmed tracks so far include "Attention," which features Snoop Dogg, & a cover of the classic song "Sailing." Here's what Avant has to say about his latest project:

"I'm back in the game & have a renewed love of R&B. I just wanted to make good music versus doing a theme album; to have it be more about who I am as a person."

Avant is a talent that flies very much under the radar. Even being a pretty huge R&B music fan for more than half of my life, I never really knew about him until his last album Director dropped. The first song that caught my attention from that album was "Lie About Us," which featured Nicole Scherzinger. Soon, I discovered the single "4 Minutes," as well as his collaboration with The Pussycat Dolls on their hit "Stickwitu," to be wonderful as well. Anyway, I decided I needed to pay attention to Avant this time around & give him the props he deserves.
