Despite the fact that another season of American Idol has passed us by since season six's resident pro finished in third place, Melinda Doolittle has finally signed a record deal. The Idol favorite has signed with indie label Hi Fi Recordings & has a debut album due to be released in the fall. This news will most definitely come as a relief to many Doolittle fans, like myself, who have been anticipating an album from her since she left Idol. Melinda had planned on some new music being released this year anyway, so this gives her a great outlet to do so. Can't wait![Source, Source]
