David Archuleta Performs On A Capitol Fourth

The Star-Spangled Banner

Stand By Me

David Archuleta spent the Fourth of July this year performing on PBS' special A Capitol Fourth. He sang an outstanding rendition of the national anthem at the top of the show before returning to perform "Stand By Me" impressively as always. What a production that performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner" was! And if this pair of performances isn't enough of an Archie fix for ya, never fear because his sophomore album is on the way! Listen to his first single, which will be available on iTunes on July 20th & his official site a week earlier, below (again, I'm sure... I'm not under the impression that any of David's fans HAVEN'T heard it yet lol):

simply stunning. david is a number 1 stunner in both these performances, and on his new single, hitting itunes on 7/20, so ya better download that bad boy somethin' fierce, haha. he's someone to be reckoned with - pop music needs a voice, and i mean a real voice like his in it. so tired of all these fake wanna bee autotuned pretenders getting all the play and attention. archuleta can change that. dude can blow, in any style of song he sings. he's vocal dynamite.

Spectacular! I have never heard a better performance of the National Anthem. And Stand By Me..oh, dear..I cried during that performance. It was so heartfelt and just so incredibly perfect. Thank you so much for posting. I love his new single Something 'Bout Love too:)

David Archuleta's performances last night at the Capitol Fourth were amazing! Great show. David's vocals are amazing -- I'm really excited about his next single that is coming out called "Something Bout Love" on 7/13 from his web site (davidarchuleta.com) and then iTunes on 7/20. David is such a talented singer/songwriter.

Wow, I heard that 400,000 people went to see 'A Capitol Fourth', broadcast live to troops overseas. David is a right person to represent not only American Idol, but also an American as a citizen. What a remarkable young man!

David is the real deal a true talent and has a wonderful personality! His rendition of the National Anthem as well as Stand By Me was right from his heart and felt! David has a dream of singing at the Olympics, I hope he is awarded that honor someday he deserves it.

Hey Justin,
Yes, he really was outstanding! As great as he was on the 4th, hearing him perform in person the night before at dress rehearsal shows how TV programming can not convey the full magnitude and purity of his voice. His voice soars above everything else.
