Pixar: It appears that "Newt", the studio's film originally scheduled for the summer of 2011, has been cancelled. Following rumors that the movie was "dead," "Newt" is now "off of [Pixar's] development schedule." While this news is disappointing, we have no reason not to be optimistic about Pixar's upcoming work... speaking of which, their slate for 2012 now includes "Brave" (formerly known as "The Bear & The Bow"), which opens that year on June 15th, & *drumroll* "Monsters, Inc. 2", which will hit theaters on November 16th, 2012!
This fall on NBC, two new half-hour holiday specials from Dreamworks Animation will air. First, the Halloween-themed "Monsters Vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins From Outer Space" will hit your TV screens on Wednesday, October 28th, @ 8/7c. Following on Tuesday, November 17th, also @ 8/7c, will be "Merry Madagascar." There hasn't been any indication before that a "Madagascar" Christmas special (besides the Madagascar penguins' "A Christmas Caper" short from a few years back) was in the works, so I'm stoked about that! This is also looking to become a tradition, with "Shrek" & "Kung Fu Panda" (respectively) specials in the works for next year. Yay!The Pussycat Dolls, strutting more clothing than normal, took the stage at the 2009 Kids' Choice Awards earlier tonight to perform "Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)" & "When I Grow Up." To be honest, the showings weren't anything we haven't seen before, & while "Jai Ho" isn't really something I would expect kids to connect with, they made it up with the latter. The Dolls were good though. PCD will release Doll Domination 2.0 on April 14th. If you're interested in the winners, which include Beyonce & "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," click HERE.
The nominees for Nickelodeon's 2009 Kids' Choice Awards have been announced. Beyonce grabbed two & The Pussycat Dolls nabbed one, while such movies as "WALL-E," "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," & "Kung Fu Panda" were also nominated. See a full list of nominees HERE. The show airs Saturday, March 28th @ 8/7c.

Dreamworks is at it again. Being released randomly on DVD today is "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa." No complaints here though; in fact, you know I've already bought my copy!
Part 1
Part 2
Check out the premiere episode of The Penguins Of Madagascar, an all-new series coming to Nickelodeon in March, in full above. After being unsure initially due to the lesser quality of animation as compared to the films, I actually found the show to be pretty funny & quite entertaining. I hope you will give it a try & look out for the series later this year!

"She Loves Me" is another song recorded by will.i.am for the new animated film "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa." He did a great job on the soundtrack for this awesome movie!
Here, we have will.i.am's music video for "I Like To Move It," which is from Dreamworks' latest animated movie "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," hitting theaters on November 7th. Gotta love it.
Check out this totally awesome new poster for "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," which hits theaters on November 7th. I can't wait! Here's an all-new trailer for Dreamworks' forthcoming computer animated sequel "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa." This one gives us a much better idea of what to expect from the movie. I, for one, cannot wait! "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" opens in theaters on November 7th.
In related news, another Dreamworks film, "Kung Fu Panda 2," now has a release date. The sequel to this year's hit will be released (in 3D!) on June 3, 2011. Yay!

Keri Hilson In A Perfect World... EPK
...still more to come!
This is a preview of the new Dreamworks Animation sequel "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa," which is set to hit theaters November 7th. While not the official teaser, this trailer features scenes from the new movie, as well as Ben Stiller (voice of Alex the lion) talking about it, & is featured on the recent DVD release of their film "Bee Movie." It should be noted that the movie was, in fact, originally set to be called "Madagascar: The Crate Escape," but very recently went through a title change. Penguins, lemurs, giraffes ... oh my!
To the left, you can peep a recently spotted standee to promote the newly titled "Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs," which doesn't hit theaters until July 2009. When it does, though, the 3rd Ice Age film will be released in 3D ... and, in the coming months & years, it won't be alone. In addition to Disney/Pixar's 3D re-releases of the first two Toy Story films leading up to the third movie in 3D, their major release of 2009, "Up," will also be released in 3D.
Soon, Dreamworks Animation will release all of their films in 3D. One of their biggest releases of this year (&, quite honestly, probably my most anticipated release of the year) is the sequel to their hit film "Madagascar." It seems as if, though, that they will be switching the name up for the second film from "Madagascar: The Crate Escape" to "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa." The first picture from the movie is featured to the right.
