Lily Allen Welcomes Daughter

Somewhere along the line, I missed something because I didn't even know Lily Allen was pregnant (her Twitter handle's the only reason I knew she got married...), but I am happy to report that after two miscarriages, Lily has given birth to a girl! The baby, whose name is as yet unknown, was born last Friday.

Lily Allen Suffers Second Miscarriage

I regret to report that Lily Allen has suffered her second miscarriage in less than three years. A statement was issued by Allen's rep on the matter:

"It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen & Sam Cooper have lost their baby. The couple ask that their privacy be respected & that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made."

The baby, a boy, was due to be born in January. I can't imagine what this kind of pain must be like, especially to experience twice. You're in our prayers, Lily.

Lily Allen Pregnant

To the left, Lily Allen can be seen posing with British tabloid The Sun as it announces that the singer is pregnant. The child will be the first for Lily, who is currently three months along, with her boyfriend of over a year, Sam Cooper. Unfortunately, Lily suffered a miscarriage a couple of years ago, so let's all hope for the best for her. Congrats, Lily!

The 2010 BRIT Awards Recap

Alicia Keys joined Jay-Z on stage at the 2010 BRIT Awards to perform *shocker* their hit single "Empire State Of Mind" in what has become a boring & redundant showing. Lucking out on the actual awards side of things was Lily Allen, who walked away with the Best British Female trophy. See all the winners HERE.

For what are essentially the British Grammys this year, Lily Allen is among the leaders in nominations with three. Leona Lewis (British Female Solo Artist), Rihanna (International Female Solo Artist), & The Black-Eyed Peas (International Album) also grabbed a nod each. You can view all the nominees HERE. Winners will be announced next month.

Lily Allen To Take Break From Music

After a London gig in March, Lily Allen will be taking a year or two off from recording & performing music. Publicly fed up with the industry, Allen will instead concentrate on starting her own record label & opening a fashion shop with her sister. Personally, I think Lily is too whiny for her own good because the industry has given her a way of life & her threats to quit music for good earlier this year were a slap in the face to the fans that support her. That said, I completely understand & respect her decision to take some time off to pursue other endeavors. She is human after all.

Lily Allen "Who'd Have Known" Video Premiere

"Who'd Have Known" is the fifth single taken from (the recently "retired" ... lmbo) Lily Allen's second album It's Not Me, It's You. Well, this one's different! This song is one of my favorites from the album & has been since it leaked way before the album even came out.

Lily Allen "22" Video Premiere

"22" is the fourth single off Lily Allen's sophomore album It's Not Me, It's You. I like the single choice & the video. It's not much, but it is stylish & a good fit.

Lily Allen "F*** You" Video Premiere

"F*** You" is the third single (in Europe, anyway) off Lily Allen's sophomore album It's Not Me, It's You. I thought this was gonna be stupid, but it's actually quite entertaining.

Lily Allen Performs "Not Fair" On T4

Lily Allen continues her mission of world domination with a performance of her second single "Not Fair" off It's Not Me, It's You on T4. Come to think of it, I'm really not much of a fan of how she sings the part leading into the chorus higher when she does it live as opposed to the lower version on her album. She just gets out of tune.

Kelly Rowland "Daylight"

Lily Allen "Not Fair"

Lily Allen "The Fear"

Across the pond this weekend, Radio 1 featured some acoustic performances from Kelly Rowland & Lily Allen. I particularly enjoyed listening to "When Love Takes Over" from Kelly. It gave the song a whole different feel & allowed us to really see Kelly's talent shine through. As for Lily... "I spent ages kneading bread." LOL

Smile

In all honesty, I could care less about more Lily Allen performances at this point, but nonetheless, here is her set from Last Call With Carson Daly recently. Look at the tiny videos! They're cute. It's Not Me, It's You is out now.

Lily Allen Performs "Not Fair" On Later With Jools Holland

I know. Seeing another Lily Allen performance of "Not Fair" from It's Not Me, It's You isn't exactly ideal for me either, but I desperately wanted to post something! At any rate, this one is from across the pond at Later With Jools Holland.

Lily Allen Performs "The Fear" On Letterman

Lily Allen recently performed on the Late Show With David Letterman--you guessed it--"The Fear," which is taken from It's Not Me, It's You. It'd be nice if she'd switch it up here & there, but I can't knock her hustle. Now, as for that soccer mom haircut...
