Leona Lewis Performs "Run" On The X Factor Finale

Leona Lewis wasted an opportunity on the finale of The X Factor to bring her new Hurt EP to the US by performing the cover that started it all "Run". Who cares though because Melanie Amaro won (she's better) & that's all that matters!

Leona Lewis "Hurt"

Nicole Scherzinger showed off her hidden talent as an opera singer & performed a *proper* version of her latest UK single, while Leona Lewis sang covers both solo & as a duet with Cee Lo Green at this year's Royal Variety. They both did well, but Nicole blew me away!

New Leona Lewis Promo Pics

Despite the fact that it's (UK at least) release has been delayed to March 26th, some new promotional photos have popped up for Leona Lewis' third album Glassheart. She looks great!

The X Factor UK Finale Performance Highlights

Leona Lewis "Hurt"

Kelly Rowland & Amelia Lily "River Deep Mountain High"

Leona Lewis returned to where it all began to perform the title track off her new cover EP on the finale of The X Factor UK. Her performance started out slow, but she really killed it in the end! Also, mentor Kelly Rowland finished off the season series by performing with her final contestant (right before she got eliminated in third place) Amelia Lily in what many hailed as the highlight of the night!

More-or-less as an apology for delaying the release of her third album, Leona Lewis is putting out a 3-track cover EP entitled Hurt on December 9th (in the UK at least). Check out what covers she has in store below:

1. Hurt (Nine Inch Nails)
2. Iris (Goo Goo Dolls)

Not gonna lie, I'm excited to hear her tackle the Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris"!

Leona Lewis Performs "Run" On The X Factor Germany

Leona Lewis reminded people of what they loved three years ago & couldn't be bothered by two years ago with her performance of "Run" on Germany's incarnation of The X Factor. Leona needs to do whatever she wants with Glassheart whenever it does come out because she gave the people what they supposedly wanted with Echo & nobody cared. Plus, growth is a good thing!

Leona Lewis Performs "Collide" On Red Or Black

For her first performance of "Collide", Leona Lewis took the stage on (shocker!) Simon Cowell's new game show Red Or Black. Yes, game show. LOL & to explain the briefcases (which I thought were cool enough to begin with), I had to post this video... are they really gonna have a musical guest every episode JUST to choose a briefcase?! Only Simon... Leona sounded & looked GREAT though! "Collide" is the first single off her upcoming third album Glassheart, which drops on November 28th in the UK.

*UPDATED* Leona Lewis "Glassheart" Cover + More

Leona Lewis, in all her gorgeousness this era, has chosen this shot, star stickers & all, for the cover of her third album Glassheart, which she has the audacity to give a UK release date of November 28th with no US date to speak of. The project is set to include work from the likes of Claude Kelly, Andrea Martin, & Chuck Harmony.

UPDATE: Tracks we can expect to appear on Glassheart: "Trouble", "Sugar" (an "orchestral soundscape"), "Fire Flies" (an "eastern-tinged 80's electro" track), & "Blank Page", "a soaring reverie over mournful piano & strings."

Christina Aguilera, Others Set For Michael Jackson Tribute Concert

Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, & Craig David are amongst those who have signed on to perform in "Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert", which is set to take place on October 8th in Wales. Cee Lo Green, Smokey Robinson, JLS, Alien Ant Farm, & 3T (a trio of Michael Jackson's nephews) are also scheduled to take part in the event, which is being broadcast worldwide in 2D & 3D. "Michael Forever" will benefit charities such as The AIDS Project LA & The Prince's Trust. I heard about this when most of his family announced it a little while ago, but wasn't sure what to make of it until now. Sounds promising!

Leona Lewis Album Update

Leona Lewis' first single "Collide" off her upcoming third album, due in November, recently made its radio debut overseas:

The electro ballad, which was written by Autumn Rowe (Alexis Jordan's "Happiness") & produced by Sandy Vee (Nicole Scherzinger's "Wet"), is decent once it builds, but the verses let it down. I do think the direction is a nice progression for Leona.

Leona Lewis Sings Christmas Medley For Twitter Followers

Leona Lewis has posted a video of herself singing a medley of her idol Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" & "O Holy Night", the Christmas songs her Twitter followers most wanted to hear. She sounds fantastic! Between Leona & Mariah herself, Christmas music appears to have been given a break from the beatings it usually receives this time of year for once! Leona's "The Labyrinth Tour: Live At The O2" CD/DVD is out now.
