As we approach January 27th, the release date of Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes' posthumous solo album Eye Legacy, the tracklisting for the set has surfaced:

Though the likes of Bobby Valentino & Chamillionaire aren't particularly worthy, the turnout for this project isn't too shabby. I'm especially pleased to see TLC included because it's truly been too long. I must say that I'm liking the reappearance of "Block Party" here as well in at least some form because I've always loved the song & it never got proper recognition since Left Eye's solo debut Supernova still hasn't hit US soil. As many of Lisa's longtime fans must feel, I'm happy to see this finally being released.

BET Awards '08 Performance Highlights

The BET Awards show this year didn't blow me away. Keyshia Cole's performance, though I love her, was just alright; nothing special. Nelly's was pretty good, thanks to Ciara & Fergie popping up. Alicia Keys' performance was decent, though she sounded weird ... & not much better can be said for the vets she brought out--especially TLC, which saddens me because I really like them. Ciara joined Chris Brown during his performance of his song "Take You Down," which was cool, but neither of them sang (Chris didn't even pretend). Speaking of not singing, Usher opened the show lip-synching, which depresses me, as everything else he did was on-point. Oh well. There's always next year ... or the VMAs...
