The worst-kept secret in Hollywood has been revealed: Pia Toscano has signed a record deal with Interscope Records & 19 Recordings! On July 12th, she will release her debut single, the Ester Dean-penned "This Time", which Pia will perform on the Idols Live! tour. As for her debut album, Pia has recorded the songs "Counterfeit" & "Dreamgirl" with Rock Mafia (David Archuleta). In addition, she has put in studio time with Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins & Harvey Mason Jr. for her album, which is due later this year. Pia is one of the most talented singers to ever hit the Idol stage & her album, which sounds like it's shaping up very nicely, is one of my most anticipated releases of the year!

Earlier this week, in an effort to sabotage the debut of The Voice on NBC (to no avail!), former rivals American Idol & Dancing With The Stars joined forces to pull an unprecedented move: For the first time ever, an eliminated Idol performed on DWTS before the end of the season. That Idol, Pia Toscano, sang "I'll Stand By You" while her rumored boyfriend Mark Ballas danced. Thanks goodness for DVRs--well, the internet really--because I watched The Voice, but Pia sure has one heck of an impressive one of her own!
