Day26 "Forever In A Day" Tracklisting

Day26 are set to release their sophomore album Forever In A Day on April 14th. A bunch of new songs have leaked recently, but if you're curious as to which have made the cut, look no further. The album's tracklisting is below:

1. Just Getting Started
2. Imma Put It On Her (ft. Diddy & Yung Joc)
3. Shawty Wats Up (ft. T-Pain)
4. Think Of Me
5. Stadium Music
6. Bipolar
7. Perfectly Blind
8. So Good
9. Girlfriend
10. Babymaker
11. Then There's You
12. Need That (ft. Jermaine Dupri)
13. Reminds Me Of You
14. Your Heels
15. Truth Is A Lie

So, a good half of the album is already available. I'll have to listen to the songs that made it onto the final album again to get a real feel for them, but I am noticing the absence of "Lemme Luv U Girl," which saddens me. Hopefully there's enough hot material on Forever In A Day to make up for it.

Jazmine Sullivan & Mary J. Blige Collaborate With Jadakiss

My girl Jazmine Sullivan & Mary J. Blige are featured on Jadakiss' upcoming album The Last Kiss, which comes out on Tuesday. Jazmine kills on a cut called "Smoking Gun." She brings it on everything! Mary does the hook & even gets a verse on "Grind Hard," a good song that I only hope Polow Da Don didn't produce (you'll know what I mean if you listen). You can listen to both tracks HERE.

Dondria Collaborates With Bow Wow

Fans of Dondria, the YouTube sensation known as Phatfffat, are currently enduring the grueling process that is waiting for her album to be released. Luckily, she has done a little something to make that wait a little easier. Alongside Johnta Austin, Dondria is featured on the song "Like This" from Bow Wow's new album New Jack City, Pt. II, which was released this week. It's not surprising that she is joined in the song, which you can listen to HERE, by her So So Def family & even though I kinda wish she was alone in the singing of the chorus, it was nice to hear her voice & she sounds great on the track. Dondria Vs. Phatfffat is due out later this year & I can't wait to hear it!

*UPDATED* Idol Review: Top 9

I had high hopes for the Top Downloads theme this week, thinking the Top 9 might actually pick current music, but I was sadly mistaken. It could've been because today's popular music apparently sucks though, which is why there is no performance this week... the guests stunk it up big time. But due to the wide-open theme & the contestants' track record of picking bad songs, so did the contestants unfortunately... for the most part. Of course, Adam Lambert brought down the house, even with a questionable song choice. Lil Rounds did a good job, even if I almost feel like the song was too big for her & that she should've chosen a more contemporary song (see: Keyshia Cole's "Love"). Kris Allen closed the show in an excellent fashion. I'm so glad he has emerged from under the radar because he really deserves it. As for the rest of this sad clan, Anoop Desai kinda murdered (...in a bad way) an Usher song, Old Yeller continued his horrible track record, Allison Iraheta DID shout her song & DESERVED to be in the bottom three, Scott MacIntyre continued to make me nauseous, Matt Giraud failed at trying to fulfill his dream of being a rock star, & Megan Joy's time DEFINITELY ran out. I just have to emphasize something: It would be an absolute crime if Adam doesn't win this thing. He's the only person that even makes this season interesting. Here's to an Adam/Kris finale!

Day26 ft. Diddy & Yung Joc "Imma Put It On Her" Video Premiere

"Imma Put It On Her," featuring Diddy & Yung Joc, is the first single off Day26's forthcoming sophomore album Forever In A Day (April 14th). I'm shocked that it's more than a week (but less than two... lol) until Day26's new album drops & the video for their lead single has already premiered! On a positive note, this song is really hot & I'm definitely checking for Forever In A Day. Unfortunately, the video is typical Bad Boy fair: a club scene, a beach scene, & a light wall... yawn. The features, especially Diddy's, were also unnecessary. At least the Day26 guys sound great.

LaKisha Jones "So Glad I'm Me" Cover

The cover art for LaKisha Jones' upcoming debut album So Glad I'm Me (May 19th) has surfaced. The mom-to-be is glowing! I can't wait to check out what the powerhouse has to offer.

Billboard Update

^This week's #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart
This week's #1 single on the Hot 100 chart^

See full charts HERE.

Now 30 may top the latest Billboard 200 album chart, but this week is all about Miss Keri, baby! Keri Hilson's In A Perfect World... debuted at #4 with 94,000 copies sold! Those are better numbers than I had ever imagined, so a big congrats to Keri. Mandisa wasn't quite so lucky, as her sophomore album Freedom started off at #83. Lady GaGa's bearable "Poker Face" rises to the top spot of this week's Hot 100 singles chart. There's some good news for Ciara too: her Justin Timberlake-assisted "Love Sex Magic" shot up to #10 to return her to the top 10 for the first time in three years. A 108% sales increase makes "Magic" this week's Sales Gainer. Also, The Black-Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow" rises to #39 as this week's Airplay Gainer.

MTVU Spring Break 2009 Performance Highlights

N.E.R.D. "Spaz," "Soldier," & "Everyone Nose"

Flo Rida "Sugar (ft. Wynter Gordon)"

mtvU hosted a slew of Spring Break performances recently from the likes of N.E.R.D. as well as our first live offering from Wynter Gordon (by way of Flo Rida). N.E.R.D. had the crowd pumped & busted out Santigold during "Soldier," a song seemingly made for an audience like this. "Spaz" is my jam though! It was hard to get much of a feel for Wynter with that performance, but I think she is headed in the right direction. Watching these clips made me realize how much I miss TRL!

David Archuleta On Good Things Utah

"You Can"

Interview

The morning of his hometown tour stop, David Archuleta appeared on local show Good Things Utah, where he performed "You Can" beautifully & sat down for an interview that had the hosts expressing Utah's gratitude for David ... that I'm sure, had they been given the chance to show it, every state has. David was also a great sport, sticking around for some questionable segments about planting onions (left) & making t-shirts (right) that can be viewed below. Also, should you feel inclined, hear what David has to say about bullying in Utah schools HERE. If you have yet to, treat yourself to David Archuleta's astounding self-titled debut album today!

Nicole Scherzinger Album Update

Usually, this kind of update is a good thing, but I'm not so sure about this one. The (insanely) long-awaited solo debut from The Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger "is just in the works & in talks & in the writing process. [She hasn't] started recording yet." Elaborating on the apparent backtracking of the album, Nicole had this to say:

"I think it'll just come out when it wants to come out, on its own. I'm still working on my album & I'm very excited. I'm a relentless perfectionist. I get one chance to put out a first (solo) album, so when the right time comes, I will put it out."

I know this is the kind of thing she has to say when the label is probably very hesitant about attempting to launch the project again, but I'm sick of hearing this "one chance" bit. You don't have to get it perfect the first time around! Then again, at this point, if she wants any more albums afterward, her debut has to be pretty incredible. Anyway, Nicole stated that she is looking forward to working with Timbaland & will.i.am again. She also hopes to go into the lab with Lady GaGa & reunite with A.R. Rahman ("Jai Ho"). I just really hope that 100% of the original material hasn't been scrapped because should Nicole use the best of the old & new material, she may just have a hot one on her hands (see: Keri Hilson).

The Caffeine Patch: Toy Story 3D Double Feature

It was originally reported that "Toy Story" would be released in theaters in 3D this October, while "Toy Story 2" would hit theaters in 3D the following February. In an exciting turn of events, Disney has opted to instead release the two films as a 3D double feature on October 2nd! This can only mean one thing: For the entire two-week engagement, I will live at my local movie theater!

Britney Spears' Candie's Commercial

To go along with Britney Spears' ad campaign, Candie's has put together this commercial featuring the pop star. Unsurprisingly, it only features behind-the-scenes footage, but that's alright with me. Circus, the latest album from Britney Spears, is available now.

LaKisha Jones Pregnant

To the left is the cover for "Let's Go Celebrate," the aptly-titled lead single off LaKisha Jones' upcoming debut album So Glad I'm Me (May 19th), which is available for download now HERE. Congratulations are certainly in order for LaKisha, as she is expecting a baby with her husband of six months, Larry Davis. The baby, due in August, will be LaKisha’s second child. Personally, I'm so glad that everything in LaKisha's life finally has a date set!
